The Ramadan eSports Festival 2K25, organised by Ooredoo Nation in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts, came to a close on 15th March at Youth Third Space on Lily Magu.
The closing ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Ibrahim Waheed, Ooredoo Maldives Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz, and senior officials from both the ministry and Ooredoo.
The festival featured competitive gaming titles such as EAFC, PUBG Mobile, and Tekken, with participants competing for a total prize pool of MVR 30,000. The event provided a platform for the local gaming community to showcase their skills while celebrating the spirit of Ramadan in an interactive and energetic environment.
In the PUBG Mobile category, LF SKYFORCE claimed the championship title, earning MVR 5,000, while SDMZ secured the runner-up position with a prize of MVR 3,000. SYNDICATE took third place, winning MVR 2,000.
The Tekken competition saw Thaabish take the top spot with a MVR 5,000 prize, followed by Yooh in second place with MVR 3,000, and Ashwan in third with MVR 2,000.
In the EAFC 25 category, the duo of Nassam and Yuman emerged victorious, winning MVR 5,000. Inan and Janan finished as runners-up, taking home MVR 3,000, while Zayan and Alyan claimed third place and MVR 2,000.
The festival highlighted Ooredoo Nation’s ongoing efforts to engage the Maldivian gaming community and foster connections through digital entertainment.
