The statement given to People’s Majlis by Bank of Maldives (BML) is the truth, says BML.
BML affirmed that the internal audit carried out by the Bank was based on the records available at the Bank, as per a press release by BML.
They further added that due to unavailability of cheque imaging and traction at the time, they had requested for the records of the involved cheques at the their respective Banks.
The Bank explained that the People’s Majlis was informed that once they receive the records, an analysis will be made and sent to the legislative body.
Any information required by the investigative bodies have been given by the Bank, stated BML.
