Renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Hassan Manik (Dhu’buri Hassan Manik) has passed away aged 80.
He passed away on Thursday at the ADK Hospital in Male’ City.
The owner of Alcyon Bakery, Hassan Manik was responsible for launching large-scale bakery services in the Maldives. He had received a national award for his services to the country.
In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Hassan Manik had also been a philanthropist. The Dhu’buri Mosque in Maafannu was built by him.
