Board director Sinan Ali has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
Sinan, who has been a longstanding board director at MTCC, took on the new role last week. In addition to his tenure at MTCC, he has served on the boards of multiple state-owned enterprises, including as chairman of the State Electric Company (STELCO) and as a director at Island Aviation.
Beyond his work in state enterprises, Sinan has an extensive background in the media industry. He began his career as a journalist at Miadhu, later working at Haveeru, and eventually becoming the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Media Group. He currently serves as the CEO of One Online.
In recognition of his contributions to the media sector, Sinan was awarded the National Award of Recognition in 2015.
