State Trading Organisation (STO) unveiled the globally recognised Nihon Kohden brand of ventilators and G5 monitors at an event held at CROSSROADS Maldives on Sunday night.
The introduction of these top-tier devices promises to further elevate the quality of care provided to patients across the nation.
The official unveiling was presided over by Japan’s Ambassador to the Maldives, H.E. Takeuchi Midori. Distinguished attendees at the ceremony included Minister of State for Health, Ahmed Adil; STO Managing Director, Abdulla Saeed; and Nihon Kohden Singapore’s Managing Director, Hirotsune Kobayashi.
The versatile Nihon Kohden equipment is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of medical needs and will find its place in emergency rooms, operation theatres, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), and throughout various departments of hospitals.
Recognising the need for familiarity with these new additions, STO is organising a special training programme from August 14 to 16. This initiative aims to equip doctors and nurses with in-depth knowledge of ventilators and monitors, ensuring they can optimise the equipment to best cater to the diverse requirements of patients in various medical situations.
