Swimming Association of Maldives kicks off BML 44th National Swimming Competition

Swimming Association of Maldives has begun the BML 44^th National Swimming Competition which is held at the swimming track in the capital city, Male’.

From 9 teams over 150 athletes are participating in the event this year. The women’s teams are New Lagoon Swimming Club, Maldives Lifeguard Association and Swim Maldives. Whereas, the men’s teams include Maldives Lifeguard Association, New Lagoon Swimming Club, Swim Maldives, Bluefin Sports, Club Bodu Riyaa.

For the 44^th installment, over 5 categories are featured in the event, including Team, Junior, Senior, Master and Elite Athlete with Disabilities. Further to this, over 220 heats are scheduled for the event. The competition was announced on Sunday and will be wrapping up on November 23^rd.
