Ministry of Tourism and Environment has begun the procurement process for branding works tied to the Visit Maldives Year 2027 campaign, signalling the early stages of preparations for what is expected to be a major national tourism promotion effort.
The Ministry has invited bids for the execution of all branding-related work for the campaign, marking the first public step towards shaping how the Maldives will position itself internationally in the lead-up to 2027. The scope of the assignment covers the full range of branding activities, with bidders required to demonstrate their technical and creative capacity in line with the project’s Terms of Reference.
As part of the process, the Ministry will hold an information session on 12 February at its headquarters in Velanaage, where detailed project requirements are expected to be shared with interested parties. Officials have indicated that the Terms of Reference and supporting information will be provided during this session, suggesting that the Ministry intends to engage prospective bidders early in the design phase.
The Visit Maldives Year 2027 campaign is expected to form a central pillar of the country’s tourism marketing strategy in the coming years, particularly as competition intensifies among regional and global destinations. While the Ministry has not yet disclosed details on the campaign’s themes or target markets, the launch of the branding procurement process indicates that groundwork is now underway.
