Urbanco in collaboration with the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT), has successfully concluded the Vilunveri Kanbalun programme, in a ceremony yesterday at Central Park.
Presiding over the event was Urbanco’s Chief Hospitality Officer, Ibrahim Inaz. A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates to 150 women who had completed the programme.

The Vilunveri Kanbalun programme was principally designed to empower women. Participants were trained in the safe use of household electrical appliances and were educated about common power-related challenges and how best to address them.
With this recent success, Urbanco has expressed its intent to introduce more such educational and empowerment-based initiatives in the foreseeable future.
