According to Luxury Travel Advisor, The renowned Raffles brand has targeted the Maldives where it is prepared to open the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort as its first resort in the region. The property will be managed by Accor Hotels previously known as Jumeirah Dhevanafushi which renovated and repositioned itself as a Raffles resort.
With over 20 years of experience in the field, Olivier Larcher is appointed as the General Manager of the resort who had previously served as the GM of the Sofitel Foshan in China.
The resort will be accessed via a 55-minute flight from Velana International Airport followed by a 15-minute speedboat transfer.
The resort located in the southern end of the Maldives has 21 island villas and 16 ocean villas with private pools where private chef service is available with 24-hour butlers. Moreover, the resort is surrounded by crystal-clear waters while having an overwater spa, fitness centre, cocktail bar and three restaurants.
Guests can partake in scuba diving and snorkelling
The Raffles has well-known hotels around the globe such as Raffles Europejski Warsaw built in June 2018 in Polish Capital and the historic Raffles Singapore while the company is preparing to open its new hotel in 2021 in Boston, North America.
