A total of 11 business authorizers have been given granted permission to run 24 hours in Male’ City by the Ministry of Economic Development.
Restaurants and Cafes’ to be open 24 hours in Male’ City are the following.
- Seahouse, Hulhumale Ferry Terminal
- Saffron Cafe’, Sosun Magu
- Nice N Spice, west harbor, food court
- Weaver Cafe’
- Retreat Delight Market Hotel
- Novel Bistro, STO harbor, food court
- Dolphin View Cafe
Local Shops to be open 24 hours in Male’ City are the following
- Express Mart, Villingili Ferry Terminal
- New Chain, Sosun Magu
- Shop and Save, Sosun Magu
The conditions to be met at the business areas running 24 hours include, proper visibility of indoor working area, camera working for 24 hours, and prohibition of smoking. Businesses who meet all conditions for 24-hour operation would be granted the permission, said The Ministry of Economics. The 24 hour business scheme is a pledge under the new governments’ 100 days series of pledges.
