Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has revealed 80 percent of the project to establish a water system in Adh. Hangnaameedhoo has been completed.
MWSC stated that the construction of the 4.91 kilometer long water network, the drilling of the borehole, the fabrication of the RO plant, and the foundation of the water storage facility have now been completed.
According to the water company, work is underway to install three tanks to store water, and a large portion of the facility building to install the water plant has been completed. The statement added that two RO plants will be installed to produce water, water meters will be installed in the houses, water connections will be made, and generator sets and water analysis equipment will be provided to manage the water system.
The Adh. Hangnaameedhoo water and sewerage project was awarded to MWSC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
The project is valued at MVR 21.65 million.
