Mr. Hussain Salim has resigned as the Chairman of State Trading Organization (STO). Mr. Salim clarified that he wishes to take part in the upcoming Parliamentary Election and that he believes that it is ethically incorrect to apply for the position while being the Chairman of STO.
He further stated that as he will not be able to dedicate the required time as a Chairman of the company, he will henceforth be resigning from the position. Mr. Salim was appointed as the Chairman of STO in 2016, under the reign of former President Honorable Abdulla Yameen.
