America is one of the top 10 tourist arrival countries in Maldives as per the statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism for the year 2018.
The tourist arrivals from America had increased considerably in 2018. 42,901 tourists arrived from America out of the total number of arrivals. Compared to the statistics in 2017 with 39,180, a 9.5% increase was seen in 2018. America occupied 2.9% from the total percentage of tourist arrivals in 2018.
Advertisements and promotional activities have been increased in America by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relation Corporation (MMPRC). MMPRC announced that they are looking for an agency to aid them in promoting Maldives in America along with them since 26 February 2019.
