Tourism Minister Hon. Ali Waheed has concluded his official trip to Laamu Atoll Gan, Baresdhoo, Fonadhoo and Kahdhoo. This trip was made to identify difficulties and challenges faced in enhancing tourism in local islands from 9th to 11th May 2019.
Hon. Ali Waheed met with the island councils and other relevant tourism bodies to discuss ways to expand touristic ventures such as Guesthouse businesses. The Laamu visit is part of the Ministry’s series of trips to all areas of the country in order to expand local island tourism.
Managing director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC), Mr. Mohamed Raaidh, Tourism Ministry officials and MITDC officials accompanied Hon. Waheed in this trip.
