Vice President Faisal Naseem has reached out to Mr Babu Menon, Director of International Patient Relations at Amrita Hospital, India, and inquired on the condition and status of Maldivian patients seeking treatment at the hospital.
Speaking via telephone, the Vice President highlighted the role of the Indian government in facilitating medical assistance to the Maldives during the COVID-19 pandemic and discussed the difficulties faced by the hospital in providing services during the pandemic. Vice President Faisal Naseem further inquired on the plans and strategies currently being applied by the hospital to overcome those challenges while maintaining a high quality of service.
Vice President Faisal Naseem also individually discussed the health of each Maldivian patient seeking treatment at the hospital. He made a special request to Mr Menon to look after the Maldivian patients who had sought treatment during COVID-19 lockdown period and stated that he would continue to closely monitor the condition of the patients. The Vice President further requested to continue providing their best services to all patients travelling from the Maldives, as Amrita Hospital is a medical institution that is a familiar and well-trusted choice for Maldivians seeking medical treatment in India.
