IndiGo Resumes Flights from Cochin, Bangalore, and Mumbai to Maldives

IndiGo has resumed flights from Cochin, Bangalore, and Mumbai to the capital of Maldives, Malé starting today, 15th July 2021, after the lifting of travel restrictions for south Asian countries.

The carrier operate three daily flights from Cochin, Bangalore, Mumbai to the capital of Maldives, and will increase to 4 flights a day from 21st July onwards by starting daily flights from Delhi to Maldives. The airline will use A320 Neo and A321 Neo Aircraft to operate flights between this sector.

India is one of the key international tourist market to the Maldives and increase in number of flights between Maldives and India will increase the tourist arrival to the Maldives.

Maldives reopened borders to all nationalities from 15th July 2021. All visitors are granted a 30-day free on-arrival visa with a confirmed booking for a stay at any registered tourist facility in the country.

While there is no is no mandatory quarantine or testing on arrival, tourists traveling to Maldives are required to complete an online health declaration form and provide a negative PCR test result taken at least 96 hours prior to their departure. The negative PCR test result must be attached while completing Traveler Health Declaration form, which has to be submitted online via IMUGA (www.imuga.immigration.gov.mv), by all arriving passengers before arrival (but not exceeding 24 hours before arrival time).
