Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), has provided updates on infrastructure development projects.
Firstly, work on design and build of S. Hulhudhoo Harbor Development Project is well underway, with overall 85% project progress. Harbor bridge construction works are currently ongoing, with 76% completion.
The S. Hulhudhoo Harbour project consists of; dredging and excavation operations of 88,623cbm; construction of a 114m breakwater; a 624m revetment; a 742m quay wall; 2,250 sqm of paved area and installation of streetlights. The value of the project is MVR 66.3 million.
Moreover, second shipment of precast concrete blocks required for Lh. Felivaru Reclamation and Harbor Development Project have been delivered to the project site.
The scope of work for the project include, reclamation operations of 6 hectare; dredging operations of 229,663.36cbm; construction of a 220m quay wall; a 148m breakwater; a 270m revetment. The value of the project is MVR 113.3 million.
Lastly, MTCC have completed construction of ferry hut for Hdh. Naavaidhoo Ferry Stop.
Scope of the work involves a kiosk, waiting area and toilets for customers. The ferry stop is being built under “Integrated National Public Ferry Network” project facilitating RTL phase 1 zone 1.
