The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), also known as Visit Maldives, is participating in the Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) 2024, which will run from 27th to 29th May 2024.
In a press release shared today, MMPRC explained that their presence at RTF 2024 seeks to support the “Sunny Side of Life” campaign in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia market. Accompanied by 17 participants representing nine companies, MMPRC aims to present the allure of the Maldives to visitors in Riyadh.
The Maldives stand at the fair offers attendees a glimpse into the scenic beauty and diverse offerings of the Maldives tourism sector, according to MMPRC. The stand features interactive elements such as a social media contest, giveaways, a Dhivehi Calligraphy Corner, and gastronomic delights showcasing Maldivian cuisine.
The Riyadh Travel Fair is a key annual event in Saudi Arabia’s travel and tourism calendar, attracting leading industry players from both domestic and international spheres. The fair serves as a platform for exhibitors, including tourist promotion authorities and travel companies, to introduce their products, services, and investment opportunities to a diverse audience.
Participation in the Riyadh Travel Fair aligns with MMPRC’s marketing strategies for the KSA market, including campaigns to expand reach, bookings, and regional arrivals.
Currently ranked 21st in market arrivals to the Maldives, Saudi Arabia represents a significant market for tourism growth. To capitalise on this potential, MMPRC has planned activities targeting the Middle East market, including joint marketing campaigns, informative webinars, participation in major fairs and exhibitions, and hosting roadshows and familiarisation trips.
