MMPRC, MATATO, and NHGAM Finalise Preparations for “Welcome India” Roadshow

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), in collaboration with the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and the National Hotels and Guesthouses Association of Maldives (NHGAM), is in the final stages of preparation for the “Welcome India” roadshow. This event series, designed to boost the Maldives’ appeal as a premier holiday destination for Indian travellers, will take place across three major Indian cities.

The roadshow will commence on 30th July 2024 in New Delhi, proceed to Mumbai on 1st August, and conclude in Bangalore on 3rd August. This high-profile event aims to foster new partnerships, strengthen existing ties, and highlight the Maldives’ unique offerings. The Maldives’ delegation will include notable figures such as Ibrahim Faisal, Minister of Tourism, and Mohamed Khaleel, Advisor to the President on Tourism Development.

Throughout the roadshow, the Maldives will showcase its pristine beaches, luxurious resorts, charming guesthouses, and rich cultural heritage. Attendees will experience the Maldives’ renowned hospitality and explore various business opportunities. Each roadshow will feature a raffle giveaway with prizes sponsored by Kandima Maldives, Nova Maldives, Arena Hotels, Kaani Hotels, Villa Nautica, Sirru Fen Fushi, Holiday Inn Kandooma, and Alila Kothaifaru Maldives.

India remains a vital source market for the Maldives, with a steady increase in tourist arrivals. The “Welcome India” roadshow seeks to capitalise on this growing demand and reinforce the Maldives’ status as a top destination for Indian travellers. The MMPRC is optimistic that the roadshow will be a resounding success, further enhancing the Maldives’ appeal in the Indian market.
