Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) received an enthusiastic response during its participation at the Dhaalan Career Expo, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour, and Skills Development. The event, held at Central Park in Hulhumale’, drew in job seekers eager to explore career opportunities within the aviation sector.
According to MACL, a total of 3,377 individuals visited its stall, with 600 people submitting job applications and another 103 applying for internships. The company showcased the operations of Velana International Airport (VIA) through the involvement of 20 departments, aiming to highlight its significant contributions to the Maldivian aviation industry.
In a gesture to encourage new talent, MACL presented job offer letters to four applicants during the expo, with the letters handed over by Deputy Managing Director Mujthaba Latheef. The company also confirmed that additional applications are being processed, with further job opportunities expected to be extended to successful candidates in the near future.
As part of its engagement at the expo, MACL organised a draw for participants who registered at its stall. Five winners received laptops, while 10 others were awarded additional gifts.
The Dhaalan Career Expo provided a platform for connecting job seekers with employers and promoting career development in the Maldives. The event not only offered insights into the growing aviation sector but also served as an opportunity for participants to explore various roles within one of the country’s key industries.
