More than 3,000 runners gathered in Addu City for the 2025 edition of the Ooredoo Fun Run, marking another vibrant chapter in what is now widely regarded as the happiest 5K in the Maldives.
From the starting line to the finish, participants were immersed in a festive journey through colour blasts, foam zones, and playful obstacle stations set up at each kilometre mark. The event brought together people of all ages and fitness levels, with families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts embracing the shared energy of fun and movement.
Every runner who crossed the finish line received a uniquely crafted medal featuring “Dhon Dheeni”, a bird native to Addu City. The medal served not only as a memento of their achievement but also a tribute to the city’s rich biodiversity and cultural identity.
Ooredoo Maldives thanked the Mayor of Addu City, partners, staff, and the many volunteers who helped bring the event to life, acknowledging their role in fostering a sense of community and shared celebration.
