The bank presented a total of 38 awards, covering individual and team achievements across areas such as project delivery, innovation, and overall performance. The ceremony also served to mark what the bank described as its strongest year to date, both in financial terms and in its broader role within the economy.

Misbah Abdul Rasheed, Head of Business Systems in the Technology Division, was named Employee of the Year for his performance and contributions during 2025. The Leadership Excellence Award was presented to Yuzna Naseem, Head of Property in the Properties and Administration Division.

Five senior staff members received the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement, recognising contributions that extended beyond their respective roles into the bank’s wider strategic direction and performance. The recipients were Moosa Munsif Ahmed, Head of Strategy and Change; Husham Saeed, Director of Technology; Rashfa Jaufar, Chief Credit Officer; Hassan Shaam, Chief Properties and Administration Officer; and Adly Ahmed Didi, Chief Information Officer.

Speaking at the event, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the bank’s recent performance reflects both financial outcomes and its role in supporting economic activity in the Maldives. He noted that the results were driven by staff across the organisation, with the awards recognising those who had delivered notable impact over the past year.

As the country’s largest banking network, Bank of Maldives continues to maintain a predominantly local workforce, with more than 99 percent of employees identified as Maldivian.
