Bank of Maldives Opens Applications for Bank Fund 2026

Bank of Maldives has opened applications for the Bank Fund 2026, offering financial support to registered NGOs and clubs carrying out community-focused projects across the country.

The annual grant programme, now in its third consecutive year, will provide MVR 200,000 each to five selected projects. Funding will be awarded under four thematic areas: education, environment, sports and community development.

The Bank Fund is intended to support local organisations working to address community needs through sustainable and practical projects. Since its launch, the programme has supported nine NGOs in implementing initiatives across different parts of the Maldives.

Bank of Maldives CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the fund reflects the bank’s focus on supporting community-level progress by helping local organisations turn their ideas into projects with tangible benefits. He noted that the bank looks forward to supporting another group of sustainability-driven initiatives through the 2026 edition of the fund.

Registered NGOs and clubs can submit completed application forms and project proposals by email. Applications must be submitted before 2:00pm on Sunday, 14 June 2026.
