
Yoosuf Waheed has been dismissed from the board of directors of Housing Development Corporation (HDC), according to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).
PCB stated that Yoosuf was removed from the board on Monday. The board did not disclose a reason for the decision.
Yoosuf was appointed to the HDC board in September 2024. He currently serves as Chief Internal Auditor at SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC).
He holds a Master of Professional Accounting and Finance from the University of South Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Business Management with a specialisation in finance.
Yoosuf is also a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and a fellow member of CA Maldives. He has more than 15 years of experience in accounting, audit and risk management across the public and private sectors.
His removal comes amid continued changes to the boards and senior management of state-owned enterprises.
