A children’s book series by the name “Laara Amaan” has been launched on 6th July 2019.
This book series is a translation by Ms. Shazna Ali, of the series “Billie B Brown” written by Aussie Author Sally Rippin.
Ms. Shazna explained that the idea came to her through her son having to read over 50 Dhivehi books every year for a “Proficient Reader” badge.
She added that after the struggle she went through in order to get Dhivehi books, she decided to translate the series to make it easier on others having similar issues.
The books are currently available on Kudafoiy on Facebook and Twitter for MVR 80 each and in bookshops in the near future, stated Ms. Shazna.
