Patina Maldives Fari Islands has appointed Afaag Ibrahim as Assistant Director of Sales. With extensive experience in luxury hospitality sales, Afaag will play an instrumental role in driving sales from the Australian and Middle Eastern market. Working directly with the Director of Sales, Nasrulla Adam and Director of Sales and Marketing, Simone Broekhaar, Afaaq will lead key sales activations and help drive Patina Maldives’ overall sales and marketing strategy.
He will be joining Patina Maldives from his current role as Sales Manager at Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives. Affag started at Gili Lankanfushi as reservations agent and climbed through the ranks of the commercial team to serve as Reservations Manager before taking on the role of Sales Manager. Affag is recognized among his sales colleagues in the industry as a passionate and collaborative sales person.
With over 14 years of experience in the industry, Afaag also served as part of the guest services and reservations teams at Anantara Naladhu Resort and Spa and Paradise Island Resort and Spa. Apart from his sales and guest services experiences, Afaag also holds qualifications in revenue management and sales account management.
Afaaq will join Patina Maldives Fari Islands as part of the pre-opening team on the 1st of April 2021.
