Apple Update: Stunning iPhone 12 Leaks, Prompts Shutdown of Android App

Apple has made a public purchase of the popular weather app Dark Sky, and the new iPad Pro may hold one of the secrets to the iPhone 12’s camera.

Dark Sky was previously a cross-platform app, however as Apple has purchased the app, it is no longer for download to Android and WearOS users.

The app on existing users will shut down on July 21st and apps that use the API with existing access available until the end of 2021. However, no new sign-ups will be allowed.

Apple has not fully shut down access to Android and WearOS users before. For instance, its purchase of Shazam. They have still maintained an Android version of the app active.

The LiDAR scanner inside the iPad Pro is also the perfect size to fit in the iPhone 11 Pro camera island. Apple is going to use its faster hardware, new stabilization sensor, and improved software as the major selling point of the iPhone 12.
