The economic ministry has stated that there are specific areas in Male and Vilimale which will be given the permission to operate their businesses under the 24 hour regulation. However, not all shops may operate for 24 hours. Only those selling absolutely necessary imported goods and those who fulfill the criteria may do so.
In Vilimale, those around the terminal area will be able to conduct businesses for 24 hours. However, for Male, shops in the following roads will be able to do their businesses for 24 hours.

Even if the shop is being operated for 24 hours, they must be closed for all prayer times.
