The Auditor General’s Office and the National Audit Department of Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the field of public sector audit of Maldives and Malaysia.
Under this agreement that was signed during an online ceremony held today, the two institutions will work together to strengthen public sector governance and the field of public sector audit. In this regard, training opportunities, knowledge, experience and the best practices will be shared between the two institutions.
During the ceremony, the Auditor General of Malaysia, Datuk Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid signed the agreement on behalf of the National Audit Department of Malaysia. Auditor General Hussain Niyazi signed the agreement on besides the Auditor General’s Office. Speaking at the ceremony, Niyazi said the signing ceremony will increase cooperation between the two institutions and create several opportunities to enhance the knowledge, skills and capabilities of the employees.
