Australia has gifted a donation of 3.5 tonnes of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Maldives.
The donation was made on Tuesday through the High Commission of Australia in Sri Lanka.
With this donation, the Australian government’s support to the Maldives now totals AUD 780,000 (approx. MVR 9 million). This includes donations of PPE, capacity building for frontline workers, and support for women and girls.
