Ayesha Nurain Janah has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the MMPRC Board.
Nurain, currently serving as the Vice Chair of Hotels & Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), oversees a multi-industry portfolio’s diversification and long-term strategies. This portfolio spans various industries, including hotels and resorts, construction technology, and marine products.
Nurain Janah is the Executive Vice Chair at Hotels Resorts Construction Pvt Ltd, a well-regarded contractor specialising in turnkey resort building construction services. HRC, a second-generation family-run business based in the Maldives, boasts globally recognised projects such as the Anantara Banana Island Resort in Doha and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi.
Nurain is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a decade of non-executive directorship in the philanthropic, startup, and public sectors. Currently, she is a Trustee of Foundation North, a prominent philanthropic grant funder. Her professional background also includes managing restructuring, insolvencies, and bankruptcies during her tenure as a Manager at EY New Zealand’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team.
Beyond her corporate engagements, Nurain is the Founder of Rehendhi Coaching & Consulting, a social enterprise dedicated to innovating executive leadership by centring collectivist cultures and indigenous frameworks. Her credentials include being a trained transformational coach certified by the Coach Masters Academy. Furthermore, Nurain holds the position of Founder & and CEO at Authenticity Aotearoa, a charity focused on empowering women of colour to express their authentic selves.
