Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the work on the design and build of B. Fehendhoo Harbour is well underway, with overall 85% project progress.
The rock boulders required for revetment construction have been delivered to the project site. The pavement works of the new harbor basin are currently ongoing.
Scope of works for the project include new harbor basin dredging operations of 18,500cbm; new entrance channel dredging operations of 25,000cbm; the construction of a 214m quay wall; a 130m breakwater; and a 282m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and installation of 558sqm of paved area will also be undertaken.
According to MTCC, the estimated value of the project is MVR 45.1 million.
