Bank of Maldives (BML) is to host a major regional banking conference in the Maldives next year. The Asian Bankers Association (ABA) has announced that its 35th General Meeting and Conference will be held in Kurumba Maldives in November 2018.
With 80 member institutions across 25 Asian countries, the ABA works to advance the interests of the banking and finance industry as well as to increase regional economic cooperation. Its annual conference provides an important opportunity for industry leaders to discuss relevant issues and opportunities and over 160 delegates from across the region will attend, along with a number of esteemed international speakers.
BML is represented on the Board of ABA by CEO and Managing Director, Andrew Healy. Andrew commented “I am delighted that Maldives, with Bank of Maldives as host bank, has been selected to host the 35th General Meeting and Conference of the Asian Bankers Association. This highly prestigious event will provide a great opportunity to showcase the country, not just in terms of financial services but more broadly, to a very influential international audience.”
