Business Centre Corporation (BCC) recently took part in the IORA Business Conclave 2024 to explore international business opportunities for local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The primary goal of BCC’s participation in the event, which took place from May 28th to 29th at Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo, was to engage with potential global investors and establish partnerships that support the growth and expansion of small businesses, both domestically and internationally.
The IORA Business Conclave 2024, organized by the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), provides a crucial platform for institutions, investors, and enterprises from 23 member nations and 12 dialogue partners to convene and collaborate on various trade-related initiatives.
During the conclave, BCC officials actively participated in discussions, networking sessions, and business meetings, with a focus on promoting Maldivian businesses on the global stage.
Additionally, the corporation has been exploring investment prospects within Sri Lanka, aiming to facilitate connections that would benefit Maldivian SMEs seeking expansion opportunities abroad.
