Bank of Maldives has announced the recipients of its Housing Grant announced earlier this year as part of its 40th Anniversary monthly initiatives.
Through the Housing Grant, Bank will be funding the building and furnishing of houses for three vulnerable families across the country. Local Councils and NGOs were invited to apply for the Grant, and recipients were selected through a comprehensive evaluation process.
The recipients of the Housing Grant are:
- Sukoon, Sh. Funadhoo. Proposal submitted by Unity Sports Academy
- Ishaa, N. Velidhoo. Proposal submitted by Velidhoo Future Foundation
- Sunhiyaa, A.Dh. Maamigili. Proposal submitted by Falcon Youth and Recreation
BML’s In-charge and Acting MD, Aishath Noordeen commented, “Supporting communities with initiatives such as the Housing Grant, is a main focus of our CSR strategy. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to support the most vulnerable members in our society and I’m confident our financial support to these housing projects will help generate significant positive and enduring impact for these families for years to come.”
Housing Grant was introduced as part of the series of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the Bank’s 40th anniversary in November.
