CA Maldives Welcomes Govt Move to Allocate 50 Loans, Under Higher Education Loan Scheme

Accounting is a very promising and a highly paid profession, with lots of employment opportunities across various industries. 

The president of CA Maldives Mr. Hassan Ziyath notes that CA Maldives has been exploring avenues to provide opportunities for Maldivian Accounting Professionals. Mr. Ziyath states that CA Maldives has started dialogues with key stakeholders in the past 3 months. “We are very glad to note that Maldivian government is with us in strengthening the accounting profession, as a result of our discussions with the authorities, the government of Maldives has allocated 50 loans under the current national loan scheme,” says Ziyath.

The government has made loan allocations for 20 new programs and 30 ongoing programs; funding through the student loan scheme is inclusive of tuition fee and exam fee for those attending an institute of higher education while students opting for self-study will receive funding which covers their exam fees only.  These loans have been allocated towards financing study in the Maldives.
