Crossroads resorts to be opened in June 2019

Crossroads, known as the largest resort project in the Maldives, will open 2 resorts and a marina in June 2019, according to international reports.

Emboodhoo lagoon, where the crossroads resorts are being developed, is located at a 15 minutes distance by speedboat from the Velana International Airport. The resorts set to open in the summer of 2019 are SAii lagoon Maldives, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives Resort, and a multi-facility marina. The marina facilitates miscellaneous shops and restaurants offering cuisines of various tastes.

The Crossroads project is developed by a Thai real estate company Singh Estate. The first phase is worth USD 311 million (MVR 4.7 billion). The total cost of the project is estimated to be worth USD 800 million (MVR 12.3 billion).

The resort experience at Emboodhoo lagoon is designed with modern day technology with the concept of integrated leisure and recreational destination, and is anticipated to transform the face of Maldivian tourism industry.
