Dhiraagu and Sparkhub have announced the successful conclusion of the Lean Startup Maldives 2024 – Addu Edition, marking a significant milestone as the event was held for the first time in Addu City. The programme, which ran from 19-21 July 2024, attracted 50 enthusiastic participants eager to embrace lean principles and foster innovation and entrepreneurial growth within the Maldives.
The Lean Startup Maldives 2024 – Addu Edition was an intensive startup bootcamp offering hands-on training in lean methodologies. Participants gained valuable insights into product development, customer engagement, and business model innovation, equipping them with the essential tools and mindset to drive entrepreneurial success. The event featured comprehensive sessions on customer validation, iterative development, and effective communication, emphasising the importance of designing products and services with the end-users in mind.
Fathmath Neesha, Chief Development Officer of Sparkhub, expressed her delight at the programme’s success, stating, “We are thrilled by the overwhelming response and growth during the Lean Startup Maldives Workshop. Hosting this programme in Addu City demonstrates our commitment to fostering a vibrant startup culture across the Maldives and supporting the growth of thriving startups nationwide.”

Participants praised the bootcamp for broadening their understanding of rapid innovation, customer validation, and a customer-centric approach to product design. They valued the programme’s emphasis on iterative development, effective communication, and the use of cutting-edge tools to streamline the journey from idea to product.
The event concluded with participants gaining practical insights into the entrepreneurial journey, applying lean principles, utilising the Javelin experiment board, and engaging in expert-led sessions and interactive exercises. Dhiraagu and Sparkhub’s collaboration continues to build entrepreneurial skills and foster a thriving startup culture in the Maldives.
