Dhiraagu has held a special staff event to honour the company’s long-serving staff who have been with the company for 35 years.
The event, held to mark Dhiraagu’s 35th anniversary, was attended by the Chief Executive of the Communications Authority of Maldives (CAM), Mr Ilyas Ahmed, Chairperson of Dhiraagu’s Board of Directors, Mr Ismail Waheed and Dhiraagu CEO & MD, Mr Ismail Rasheed as well as members of the company’s Board of Directors and Leadership Team.
At the ceremony held at Villa Nautica Paradise Island, 22 staff who have been with the company since it was formed in 1988 were recognised and awarded with a special plaque. The 35th-anniversary photo book of the company, ‘Leading the Digital Transformation Journey of the Maldives,’ was also digitally launched at the event by Dhiraagu Chairperson, Mr Ismail Waheed and CEO & Managing Director, Mr Ismail Rasheed. The book, which is digitally available on the Dhiraagu website now, chronicles the critical milestones of Dhiraagu over the past three decades, building the national digital infrastructure of the Maldives.
The company also held a special lucky draw amongst staff with valuable prizes at the event with colourful entertainment activities. Dhiraagu continues to empower and celebrate their team and support their hard work and commitment to enable its customers to ‘take on tomorrow’ in the digital future.
