Dhiraagu has announced that they will be hosting their annual 10K marathon ‘Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race’ on September 2019.
Similar with the previous years, the theme for this year’s race is also Protecting Children’s Rights.
Dhiraagu has opened up the opportunities for interested NGO’s working for Children’s Rights to register in the event. A total of 4000 runners will be taking part in the marathon representing an NGO of their choice.
The top 5 NGO’s will be receiving MVR200,000 from Dhiraagu as a prize for gathering the most number of runners.
For safety measures, 5K runners should be of age 7 till 1 September while 10K runners should be of age 16 till 1 September, as per Dhiraagu.
Introduced in 2007, Dhiraagu celebrates the 13th consecutive year of hosting the marathon in 2019.
