Dhiraagu has received three awards from Ookla under the Speedtest Awards for the first and second quarters of 2025. The awards recognise the company as the Fastest 5G Network, Best 5G Network, and Best 5G Gaming Experience in the Maldives.
The results are based on analysis of Speedtest Intelligence data for the period, using measurements from consumer-initiated tests. Ookla assesses mobile network performance through indicators such as download and upload speeds, latency, and consistency.
Dhiraagu launched commercial 5G services in the Maldives in 2019. The company states that its 5G network currently reaches around 73 percent of the population, with expansion continuing as part of its network rollout.
Ookla is a connectivity intelligence firm that operates platforms including Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics. Its datasets are used to compare network performance across markets.
Dhiraagu has previously received Ookla recognition for mobile network performance, including awards for fastest mobile and 5G networks in earlier assessment periods.
