Dhiraagu has partnered with the National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH) at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for the Oevaru mental health conference. The theme for the conference is ‘Changing Currents: Forming Connections’ and is scheduled to take place from 15-16 October 2023.
Oevaru is the first initiative of its kind to be held in the Maldives, aiming to bring mental health to the forefront of public discourse and connect different stakeholders in the field, including mental health practitioners, service users, carers, policymakers, organisations, and development partners.
The event will feature a range of sessions, including keynote speeches, panel discussions and academic presentations on the latest research and innovative practices in the mental health field, along with current challenges and opportunities, with a call for evidence-based mental health policymaking and investments.
Dhiraagu remains committed to supporting programmes and initiatives which aim to address pressing social issues in our society and enrich the lives of people living in the Maldives.
