Dhiraagu’s ‘Pitch for Purpose’ to Support Up to Three Community Projects

Dhiraagu has introduced an internal programme that will allow employees to develop and propose community projects for implementation across the Maldives.

The Pitch for Purpose initiative provides staff with a structured process to identify community needs, work in teams and present corporate social responsibility proposals for support from the company.

Up to three projects selected through the programme will receive organisational assistance for community implementation. Employees will be involved across the process, from developing initial concepts to pitching proposals and taking part in activities within communities.

The initiative was introduced at an employee event held to explain the programme and the opportunities available for staff participation.

Dhiraagu employees have previously taken part in environmental activities, mentoring programmes, skills development workshops and other community projects. The new programme formalises this involvement by giving employees a direct role in designing initiatives based on causes and needs they consider important.

Dhiraagu said the programme is also intended to encourage collaboration between teams and provide employees with experience beyond their regular responsibilities.

The initiative forms part of the company’s broader approach to employee engagement and corporate social responsibility, with selected proposals expected to support social and environmental needs in communities across the country.
