Thailand-based Dusit Hotels and Resorts has announced a new venture in the Maldives, signing an agreement with Pearl Atoll Pvt Ltd to manage the dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives – an all-inclusive lifestyle resort set to open its doors in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Located on a private island near the capital of Malé City, the resort will offer 125 keys under Dusit’s upscale dusitD2 brand, marking the company’s foray into the ‘all-inclusive’ segment.
The resort, designed to provide an immersive experience, will feature spacious overwater villas and family suites ranging from 77 to 319 square meters.
Guests can indulge in various amenities, including a kids’ club, multiple dining options serving global cuisines, a fully equipped gym, and a signature Namm Spa offering traditional Thai massage therapies and beauty treatments.
The resort will also offer three main private beaches for relaxation and a smaller ‘picnic beach’ for unique dining experiences.
Located just five minutes from Velana International Airport by speedboat, the developers plan to leverage the resort’s proximity by introducing a resort-based entertainment hub and a small convention centre, expanding the guest experience beyond the core resort offerings.
Rudimentary attention will be given to seamlessly blending all resort elements to ensure harmony with the surrounding environment. Dusit’s group-wide sustainability program, the Tree of Life, which aims to minimize environmental impact, further reinforces this.
This venture marks Dusit’s second presence in the Maldives, complementing its existing luxury offering, Dusit Thani Maldives, located on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll – the Maldives’ first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
