The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced an opportunity for Maldivian businesses to participate in the Asia Berlin Summit, to be held in Berlin, Germany, from 24 to 28 November 2025.
The Ministry stated that the German government extended the invitation through the Maldives Embassy in Berlin, opening the door for Maldivian businesses to engage with an international network of innovators, manufacturers, investors, and policy makers.
This year’s summit, titled ‘Connecting Startup Ecosystems for Diversity and Innovation’, will focus on five major sectors: health, technology, fintech, green technology, mobility, and the creative economy. The event is positioned as a key gathering for showcasing innovation and building cross-border business connections.
For Maldivian businesses, the Asia Berlin Summit presents a unique opportunity to highlight the country’s growing startup ecosystem and creative potential. The summit will feature high-level discussions, exclusive round tables, cultural showcases, and co-hosted sessions designed to foster business ties and investor interest. Participating countries will also have the opportunity to represent their cultural identity, with options to sponsor traditional cuisine and heritage exhibits during the event.
While participants will need to cover their own travel expenses, the Maldives Embassy in Berlin will provide on-ground support to help facilitate their participation.
The Ministry encouraged eligible businesses to seize the opportunity to build international networks and present the Maldivian innovation landscape on a global stage.
