The Ministry of Economic Development has been honoured with the CRF 2023 Innovation Award (Commendation) in recognition of its efforts to digitalise its services.
The accolade was presented at the Corporate Registers Forum (CRF) annual conference. This marks the Economic Ministry’s first international award for its work.
The award was granted for the ministry’s new ‘corporate profile and verification’ initiative. The ministry has implemented a special verification code in each profile sheet to ensure authenticity for online-issued sheets used by banks and other service providers.
This service has led to a reduction of 300 service requests in queues, and it allows for the timely generation of business profile sheets through the business portal, according to the ministry.
Over the past few years, the business portal has expanded to provide most of the ministry’s services online to the public and businesses.
