Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has held the ground breaking ceremony of AFC President’s Infrastructure Initiative Project: Villimale’ Football Training Centre.
Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof attended as the Chief Guest, where he and Bassam Adeel Jaleel, the FAM President laid the foundation of the training centre.
The new football training centre to be developed in Villimale’ will have a facility building and an accommodation building. The facility building includes 2 changing rooms, 2 public toilets, 1 referees room, 1 Match Commissioners Room and an assembly area (team tunnel) while the accommodation building consists of 8 two room apartments and an open terrace.
Bassam Adeel Jaleel said on the occasion that the project is another important step for the development of football in the Maldives.
