Fathimath Thaufeeq has been appointed the Managing Director of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). This appointment comes after an initial nomination for the Managing Director position at the SME Bank, SDFC, was redirected by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who recommended Fathimath for the MMPRC role instead.
With a Masters in Business Administration from the University of West England and a history in various management roles, Fathimath brings a unique blend of skills and background to her role as the Managing Director of MMPRC. Her previous positions as Admin and Procurement Manager at WAMCO, and HR & Admin Manager at Jalboot Maldives, along with her work at ALIA and the Environmental Protection Agency, have equipped her with a diverse skill set.
MMPRC is tasked with promoting the Maldives worldwide, using comprehensive marketing strategies, including trade shows, digital campaigns, and PR initiatives. Governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the President, MMPRC operates in 15 key global markets.
