Flydubai, a government-owned low-cost airline from the UAE, originally planned to begin direct flights to Addu in February. However, these flights have now been rescheduled for June 24th at the request of tour operators in order to allow for more marketing time.
Tickets for the flights starting on June 24th are now available for purchase, and those who have already purchased tickets for next month’s flights can change their dates at no additional cost. Additionally, those who have booked tickets and wish to travel during this period will be offered tickets to Dubai from Velana International Airport (VIA) with two nights of accommodation and complimentary domestic flights.
Flydubai will operate daily flights from Dubai International Airport to Gan International Airport (GIA) in Addu, connecting to 185 countries around the world. The Maldivian national airline will also offer connecting flights from GIA to Kooddoo Airport to facilitate travel for tourists visiting Gan.
Flydubai is the first carrier from the UAE to operate flights to Gan International Airport (GAN) in southern Maldives.
