Freedive Maldives has started training their resort participants for Neyvaa 2.
Neyvaa 2 will see an attempt to a new world record for the most number of people performing static apnea simultaneously. As such, they are conducting a 5-day training at each participating resort to prepare for the record with the resort staff.
Currently, they are at the fourth resort for this training and in the upcoming 2 months, they will be undertaking the training at all participating resorts.
Trainings have now been completed at Sun Island Resort & Spa, Filitheyo Island Resort and Royal Island Resort & Spa.
The proper five-day training programme includes the teaching of physiology of breath holding, safety and relaxation along with training them for a 2-minute hold underwater. The requirement to take part in the event is the 2-minute hold which does not necessarily require any previous diving or swimming skills.
